:bulletred: This theme was designed and tested on f2k v1.3 b4 (works fine on portable edition).
To install it on portable f2k, move "user-components", "configuration", "components" and "skins" to your portable installation dir, this should do the trick.

:bulletgreen: No cover – setting up „no cover stub image”:
1. Open prefs
2. Go to display
3. Look for "stub image path", point it to "nocover.png" (skins :pointr: Amethyst :pointr: Raw)

:bulletgreen: Enable/disable scrollbars in Library Tree Panel:
1. Right click on Library Tree Panel,
2. Choose panel preferences,
3. Set scrollbar to default (will be shown when needed) or hide (always hidden) :pointr: (bottom right section).

:bulletgreen: Enable/disable scrollbars in ELPlaylist:
1. Right click on any track or playlist header,
2. Choose setings,
3. Go to style tab,
4. Set scrollbar to default (will be shown when needed), hide (always hidden) or show (always visible) :pointr: (bottom left section).

If you like my configs, support me with a :+fav: or comment. is fine too!

Is there anyway to set songs to group by none? I love this skin

I think there's an option for that in right click menu. But if there isn't, I'll add it in the future :)

This is a beautiful skin. I'm so impressed. But there is a big -- or rather small -- problem on my Windows 8.1 HD 1080 laptop. The skin is too small to use. All of the following screen shots show Amethyst in the middle of my screen. As you can see, Amethyst is so tiny it's difficult to see. The fourth screenshot (with the lyrics panel) has a Google page with text at about the right size (maybe a little big) so you can see how tiny the Amethyst text is.

Is there any way to double the magnification or otherwise change the scaling? Thanks again for your beautiful work.

To be honest, it's not tiny on my 23 inch EIZO Foris (it's just about right). And we're both using 1080p resolution.

I don't know if it's possible to scale f2k ColumnsUI. I'm afraid I'd need to rewrite amethyst with bigger fonts and stuff.

Gotcha... Although the skin is perfectly legible, I guess it's just my personal preference that it look bigger on my screen. I played with the system scaling and can indeed make FooAmethyst bigger, along with every other program, but then the other programs are too big. Oh well, it must be a ColumnsUI thing, or Win8 not playing nice with ColumnsUI. Your Veronica skin (another stellar work, by the way) is also very small. I need to learn how to script and program things myself -- I'm just a user of other peoples' work right now!  :)

I think it's columns ui related. I was playing with dpi scaling on my machine, and guess what. Everything was scaled up except foo. Default UI scales properly tho. :)
On the other hand, you mentioned you're working on a laptop. How big is your matrix? 16" - 18"? I bet that the difference between mine 1080p and your 1080p is because of matrix size. I had a HP ENVY that had a 17" screen and was Full HD. Sure, things looked nice but everything was also a lot smaller compared to my EIZO :)

If you really like Amethyst, I can rewrite it to be more "readable". Just give me some time ;)

I see what you are saying -- the dpi scaling does not affect fooAmethyst, although defaultUI does change size (along with the rest of the system and programs). The only way I could get fooAmethyst bigger was by changing its compatibility setting to launch in 640x800 resolution (a ridiculous solution!).

My screen is 15.6" across at 1080x1920 resolution. HD video looks great but I'm finding that this resolution is less than ideal for such a small screen... Sigh. Now I know. I have a few friends who also got small screens with high resolutions, not knowing they were inviting a unique set of difficulties balancing legibility with size!

Well, if you could offer a "larger" Amethyst, I would be very grateful. Foobar's default UI looks tragic on an HD screen, although I've done my best ( Your Amethyst and Veronica work really are the best-looking Foobar skins, plus they are so useable!

Another fix is to use 1600x900, but who's gonna do that if screen can support 1920x1080 natively.

Your DUI config looks useful (and not that bad to be honest). Before I knew how to make better stuff in foo (read = before I discovered CUI and learned how to use it), I was using DUI to make compact stuff like this. I liked it because it was easy to place elements. Windows visual styles were a big deal tho, as they defined background color, frames and stuff like that. So in the end, people who used different visual styles complained that my theme was looking like shit on their PC :)

As I said earlier, I'll make a bigger version of amethyst (both colors :) ). It won't be that hard I suppose, as it's my first skin that's "properly" coded. VERONiCA v1 is a mess tho. I don't think I'll be able to make it bigger. VERONiCA v2 will feature high DPI setting tho. ;)
