Amethyst MP by slowboyfast Amethyst MP by slowboyfast
Clean, squared and simple.

:bulletblue: Installation manual can be found inside the archive. If you're an "online" person, grab a copy of "A Quick Guide to Amethyst" from my scrapbook.

:bulletblue: Playlist manager guide's here.

:bulletblue: You can change how ELPlaylist groups tracks by right clicking on the group and then choosing "Group by". Each grouping option will change how the playlist looks .

:bulletred: Changelog:
2013-12-19: ***1.0.1 BUGFIX***
** Details tab "online stream" text fixed.

2013-12-12: ***1.0.1 BUGFIX***
** Amethyst is fetching dynamic track and artist names now. Go on and stream something.

2013-12-8: ***1.0.1 UPDATE***
** Web links "Aw Crashed" errors corrected,
** Volume bar click area increased (for both mini and big mode), "Aw Crashed" errors corrected,
** New rating script.

2013-12-6: ***1.0 INITIAL RELEASE***

:bulletred: This theme was designed and tested on f2k v1.3 b4 (works fine on portable edition).
To install it on portable f2k, move "user-components", "configuration", "components" and "skins" to your portable installation dir, this should do the trick.

:bulletgreen: No cover – setting up „no cover stub image”:
1. Open prefs
2. Go to display
3. Look for "stub image path", point it to "nocover.png" (skins :pointr: Amethyst :pointr: Raw)

:bulletgreen: Enable/disable scrollbars in Library Tree Panel:
1. Right click on Library Tree Panel,
2. Choose panel preferences,
3. Set scrollbar to default (will be shown when needed) or hide (always hidden) :pointr: (bottom right section).

:bulletgreen: Enable/disable scrollbars in ELPlaylist:
1. Right click on any track or playlist header,
2. Choose setings,
3. Go to style tab,
4. Set scrollbar to default (will be shown when needed), hide (always hidden) or show (always visible) :pointr: (bottom left section).

If you like my configs, support me with a :+fav: or comment. is fine too!

WOW! hey mate, I wasn't using foobar since years (2009?), since when I definitively passed to Slackware Linux; now I re-installed winzozz on a secondary partition 'cause I need to use Abobe programs for work and development and one of the first thing I also installed is foobar2000. I search for my beloved ColumnUI and this is the first theme I'm trying..
What I want to say is that your theme is absolutely amazing! It's great! easy to install, I only extracted files and voila! Great!

When I use my Slackware I always think that it would be wonderful to have a Linux version of foobar2000!
But that's another story..

Thank you very very much for sharing your work mate!
see ya! ;)

Hah, glad you like it bro ;)

When my notebook was still operational I was using Arch with f2k+WINE and it worked perfectly (DSP effects, plugins and even Shpeck).
Don't know if it's still working with f2k 1.3, but you might wanna try :)

Your comment made me wanna install Arch again but I don't want to dual boot on my main rig :D

How do you make the seekbar scrub when you use your scroll wheel on it?

Awesome skin! I have encountered just a little problem. All my album cover files are named albumart.jpg. I've added it to the display preferences panel, and foobar is showing the album covers when the mouse hovers on the playlist panel. However in the details panel it's not showing up. If I rename a file to folder.jpg it displays. Any way I could edit a script to make it work?

Thanks!

I don't know if panel stack splitter can use settings from "display" prefs section, I think it uses its own built in artreader.

I'm not sure if any script changes would help since I embed covers in my music files. So it's not an issue for me. Gonna check this problem.

Is there a way to save the current folder directory for next session?

Nah, library tree folds up every time you relaunch foo.

Bummer. Also I'm confused and can't seem to figure out 2 things:
1, can I get a selection context menu when I right click on the album art instead of the Splitter menu in any way?
2, how do I use the searchbar in foo_uie_library_tree? I see the various categories like Album > etc. but I don't seem to get search results for much of anything.

Wait, I figured out how to pull up the searchbox in the library tree. Which raises the question, what is the text field above the tree for?
