VERONiCA 1.2.2 by slowboyfast VERONiCA 1.2.2 by slowboyfast
:new: I started working on VERONiCA v2. Check WIP here. VERONiCA v1 will recieve her last update when I release v2. Mainly bugfixes and few last color themes for people who decide to stay on v1. Cheers! :new:

:bulletgreen: 1.2.2 update is here! iSABELLE is now another "bright" preset. Details pane is now a real deal.

:bulletblue: Installation manual can be found here: "A Quick Guide to VERONiCA".

:bulletred: This theme was designed and tested on f2k v1.2b4 - v1.3.2 (works fine on portable edition).

:bulletred: If your AV is bitching about trojans, worms or atom bombs inside the archive, ignore it or get a non paranoid AV. It's just UI_hacks component which is totally safe.

11 color presets available:
:bulletwhite::bulletblack::bulletblue: VERONiCA (default blue) - white frame, black playlist and panels, blue accents
:bulletwhite::bulletblack::bulletpink: PEGGiE (default pink) - steel frame, black playlist and panels, pink accents
:bulletblack::bulletblack::bulletorange: GORDON (dark) - dark gray frame, gray playlist and panels, orange accents. FOLLOW FREEMAN! (based on HEV suit)
:bulletblack::bulletblack::bulletgreen: BROCK (dark) - dark gray frame, gray playlist and panels, green accents
:bulletgreen::bulletblack::bulletorange:CARRiE (mixed) - lemon frame, gray playlist and panels, orange accents
:bulletwhite::bulletwhite::bulletred: iSABELLE (bright) - white frame, white playlist and panels, red and black accents
:bulletwhite::bulletwhite::bulletblack: ELLiE (bright) - gray frame, gray playlist and panels, blue and red accents (OS X flavored)

2013-11-11: ***1.0 INITIAL RELEASE***

:bulletred: ***IMPORTANT*** I didn't include WinAmp files for Shpeck because Deviantart doesn't allow to have .exe files in our deviations. It's probably against WinAmp license too.

:bulletgreen: To install visualisations for Shpeck:
1. If you're on Windows 7 and up, you'll need to install DX9 first, download it from MSDN.
2. Download vis pack. Grab it here.
3. Unpack (RAR, WinZIP, 7Zip),
4. Drop unpacked folder inside your f2k installation dir,
5. Open prefs and navigate to VisualisationsShpeck,
6. Find "Winamp directory" field and point it to downloaded vis pack,
7. Go to Visualisation tab, right click on Shpeck, select which vis you want to start,
8. If Shpeck fails to autostart, just resize the window (it will refresh vis wrapper).

:bulletgreen: No cover – setting up „no cover stub image” (for coverflow):
1. Open prefs,
2. Go to display,
3. Look for "stub image path", point it to "nocover.png" (select one corresponding to your color scheme).

:bulletgreen: Enable/disable scrollbars in Library Tree Panel:
1. Right click on Library Tree Panel,
2. Choose panel preferences,
3. Set scrollbar to default (will be shown when needed) or hide (always hidden) :pointr: (bottom right section).

:bulletgreen: Enable/disable scrollbars in ELPlaylist:
1. Right click on any track or playlist header,
2. Choose setings,
3. Go to style tab,
4. Set scrollbar to default (will be shown when needed), hide (always hidden) or show (always visible) :pointr: (bottom left section).

If you like my configs, support me with a :+fav: or comment. is fine too!

Thanks to:
:iconmarkkoenig: for "beta testing". He's the man! Be sure to check his awesome work!
:iconbr3tt: for CoverFlow script.

Thank you slowboyfast. Been running Veronica foobar2000 since April. Very nice interface with your inclusion of scrobbler. :)

The Shpeck visualization does not run within the Veronica Visualization window, but the Shpeck MilkDrop visualization window does run outside of Veronica on the desktop. I'm running Win7 x64. No complaint, just an observation and comment about my particular installation.

Downloaded, but have yet to install Veronica 5/9/2014.

With the new 1.2.2 install, I am getting the visualization within Veronica/Isabelle. :) Thank you so much again slowboyfast!

Having fun  :) even though interface is not intuitive enough for my simpleton brain.
How to reset your foobar2000 interface. How to save the interface. How to get it how I'd like it: Three panels, 1. Visualization, 2. Lyrics from scrobbler, 3. Playlist.

OOOOh, (in foobar2000 with whatever interface) Preferences>Advanced>Reset all

This sets me back to original foobar2000 without Veronica or Isabelle. Let me mess around with this. :)

No luck so far. Veronica overlay won't install., and Shpeck are gone too. Still working on this. :) Do NOT do: Preferences>Advanced>Reset all

Deleted foobar2000 folder in Users\m\AppData\Roaming replaced it with backed up foobar2000 folder. Back to square 2.
Having fun AGAIN :) (Smile) even though interface is STILL not intuitive enough for my simpleton brain.
Trying to reset the foobar2000 interface, so I can save it to how I'd like it: Three panels, 1. Visualization, 2. Lyrics from scrobbler, 3. Playlist.

Got visualizations running within foobar2000. Milkdrop won't autostart, but I just go to Preferences>Shpeck>Milkdrop>Start/Stop. Then it starts on the desktop. Then I go into the Visualizations panel>Add panel>Visualizations>Shpeck, mouse click on the desktop playing Milkdrop, then tap 'Esc' key, and Milkdrop runs in the newly created Visualizations Shpeck panel. Then I Close the original Shpeck panel that is still blank (except for the word Shpeck), and Milkdrop fills the Visualizations panel. Have to redo this operation everytime I reopen foobar2000, but is almost looking the way I wanted it. :)
Will see if I can get three panels in one 1. Visualization, 2. Lyrics, 3. Playlist. Where I can mouse click on any of the three sections to maximize that particular section as the others disappear.

After starting MilkDrop in Preferences>Shpeck>Milkdrop>Start/Stop, it does start on the desktop. Then I go to the Visualizations (Shpeck) panel and close it, then AddPanel>Shpeck. Then click on the desktop Milkdrop and push esc key and MilkDrop plays in the Visualization Window.  :)

Finally got local lyrics to work in the "Details" panel without having to search every time. Preferences>Tools>Lyric Show 3>Lyric Searching --- Moved "Local file Search" to the top, highlighted it >Properties ---Lyric filename format:checked Enable built-in artist-title search, with Custom filename format %title%.txt. AND Search paths: D:Users\m\Music\%artist%\%album%\%title%.txt.  :)

I just wanted to say this is the best skin I've seen yet for Foobar. Great functionality with great style, I can totally see an improvement from Amethyst to this.

Only minor niggle: I wish the song (pause, skip, stop) buttons on the bottom right had more contrast with the background. I also wish the volume and progress bar at the bottom required less precision.

Great work.

Hey hey, sorry for the late response. Internet problems and stuff.
If you want, I can guide you how to edit bottom buttons. It's really easy.
